Weed Removal Option and Water Updates

Mike Stankevitz spoke with Darren Kramer, Fisheries Unit Supervisor for the Northern Lake Michigan Management Unit.

The County and State do not support weed removal, and any route requires an accompanying lake study, permit, and other hurdles that require financial expenditures.

The association feels it has exhausted many of the efforts or research required to control weed growth on the lake without much success. Members are encouraged to continue independent research on options available to stakeholders, with the ability to bring actionable plans for the association to vote on.

4th of July Boat Parade

The boat parade was successful, with about 22 boats and 115 people

The ad was placed in Menominee County Journal @ $95

$50 Gift Certificate awarded to the most decorated "best" boat

Ice Cream Tickets remain to be fully tallied, an update will be provided at the fall meeting

Learn to ski suggestions.

Ross Doucette recommended a "Learn to Ski" opportunity on July 3rd, 2025

A proposal will be vocalized and voted on during the fall meeting to include a DNR represented, safety instruction or EMS, Gas budget, and run of show.

Open Discussion

Mike Stanekvitz asked how we should spend the association's Money and mentioned the idea of stocking the lake with fish.

All members can propose options to the associations that may be voted on.

Adjourned: 9:51am
